There will be no homework this week so that they students can continue to work on their Famous Structure projects and presentations.
Math: We have been busy solving multiplication and division problems. We have learned several strategies to help us multiply and divide (skip counting, groups, arrays, number line, multiplying/dividing in parts, doubling/halving). After this unit we will start learning about fractions.
Language: We have been working on Persuasive Writing, making inferences when reading, and writing written responses to texts. This week we will start wrapping up Persuasive Writing by working on a final task. Next, we will start working on Narrative Writing.
Science: We have been working on learning about what makes Structures strong and stable. We built bridges using various materials and tested them to see if they would support a load. I am looking forward to seeing/ hearing the students present their Famous Structures this week.
Religion: The students participated in learning all about the Rosary. The rosaries will get blessed by Father Paul then the students will be able to bring them home.
The Arts: The students are working on an art activity using water colours and applying their knowledge of other elements (line, colour: warm and cool colours). Soon we will begin Drama & Dance.
Upcoming Events:
Ash Wednesday Mass: Wednesday, February 26th at 10:55
St. Anne Showcase: March 13th
March Break: March 16 - 20
Have a great week!
